Micro-Emulsifier Additive -
Technical Data Sheet
Introduction
The WSF E-2650 Micro-Emulsifier
Additive provides a cost-effective means for utility, marine and industrial fuel
users to deal with increasingly stringent environmental restrictions on
emissions and the deteriorating quality of residual fuel oil or bunker
"C" oil.
Much of the existing equipment
used to burn today's available residual fuel oil cannot do so and remain within
environmental compliance with acceptable operating costs.
Description
WSF E-2650 Micro-Emulsified Fuel
is a suspension of microscopic water droplets in residual fuel oil, containing
adequate additives as to provide secondary atomization operation. WSF E-2650
Micro-Emulsifier Additive produces an emulsion under controlled, steady state
conditions with proper water content, optimum water droplet size range and
proper stability. These emulsion characteristics are critical to obtaining
maximum combustion performance.

Application
Typical situations that can benefit substantially from the
use of WSF E-2650 Micro-Emulsified Fuel are:
Utility and industrial boilers
that cannot comply with present emission standards on particulate, NOx or
opacity.
Utility and industrial boilers
that are operating at reduced efficiency or high operating costs due to poor
performance.
Process furnaces and kilns
that cannot comply with present emission standards.
Process furnaces and kilns
operating with high maintenance costs, low product yield or low product
quality due to poor combustion.
Marine or industrial diesel
engines that are operating under smoking conditions, reduced efficiency or
high operating costs due to poor performance.
Performance
Exact quantitative improvement in performance benefits will
vary according to the severity of combustion-related problems.
The potential performance benefits of burning WSF E-2650
Emulsified Fuel over neat residual fuel oil are:
Increased boiler utilization
or operating time
Improved combustion
Reduction in NOx emissions.
Increased efficiency.
Decreased particulate
emissions.
Decreased high and low
temperature corrosion in boilers.
Decreased soot blowing
frequency in boilers.
Reduction or elimination of
fireside additives.
Decreased maintenance costs.
Increased product yield or
quality in process furnaces.

Safety and Handling
WSF E-2650 Micro-Emulsifier
Additive contains hydrocarbons (CAS #64742-94- 5), designated by the
Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) as a hazardous
ingredient.
Use of WSF E-2650
Micro-Emulsifier Additive in the presence of strong acids and oxidizers should
be avoided.
Contact with skin and eyes may
cause irritation, and inhalation may cause dizziness and headaches.
